Treeniturnaus 10.7.2007

Marko Karhunen piipahti Helsingissä ja pelasimme pienellä porukalla epävirallisen treeniturnauksen. Vaikka ei nyt ihan samalla sykkeellä ja keskittymisellä pelattukaan kuin virallisia pelejä ja tuomaritkin puuttuivat, niin jollainlailla saatiin Makekin taidot punnittua. Makella pysyi puolustus hyvin kasassa ja nopeat läpimurrot olivat vaarallisia. Vedot olivat hyviä. Ehkä SM-kisoissa uppoaa sitten paremmin.

Zingaa lukuunottamatta pelattiin kyllä aika nihkeitä pelejä, mutta kausi onkin ollut pitkä ja raskas.

Great!! Saatiinhan vihdoin esimakua Makenkin näppäilytuntumasta...siitä se lähtee täällä Suomessakin...viimeistään Sm-kisoissa!!

Marko asettui tämän session perusteella tasoltaan leveään Zingan takana olevaan rintamaan, jossa oikeastaan kaikki on mahdollista. Peli oli hieman kansainvälisemmän tyylistä kuin monella meistä. Vedot olivat myös napakoita, ja olisin hyvin voinut hävitä keskinäisen ottelumme. Oli hyvä saada kuitenkin käsitys tasosta, ja saimmepa tietää ainakin yhden uuden sääntötulkinnan.

Kyse taisi olla siitä, että hyökkääjä näpäyttää ohi pallosta ja osuu liikkuvaan puolustavaan figuuriin, tulkitaan, että hyökkääjä on jo missannut pallon jolloin virhe on hyökkääjän.

Interesting results pojat! And lots of close games....good to see. But what happened against Zinga, Vesa??

I have dug out my old board and pitches (cotton, nylon and wool, but no Astro), but have not set up anything or flicked yet. Too busy unpacking and tidying up the house and garden!

Hope you are all well and enjoying the Finnish summer. It has been cold (for Sydney) and wet since we got back, but is sunny and about 17 today - not so bad!

Interesting results pojat!

Yes, it was interesting to play finally againts Karhunen and I also tested my new C5-team. A little bit more tuning and they are ok.

I noticed that there will be someone from Australia in the World Cup.
Have you anything to do with that ?

Interesting results pojat! And lots of close games....good to see.

The tournament was played with summer holiday feelings so that may explain the results. I have emphasized the importance of defending and maybe that has gone through to others, as the goal average was so low. More possible explanation is that the shooting skills were on holiday.

Normally I play quite tight game so it was nice to be the "hurlumhei" player of the tournament!

I have to say that my game was on holiday after a tough season. I played badly most of the time - especially in attack - in all of my games, but somehow managed to get results.

Against Zinga the level of the play wasn't good neither (or neither...) way. But I was even more off than he. He even gave me a clear shot at 1-0 by losing the ball in shooting area, but my figure hit his nearby standing player, thus fouling. And the figure really was only nearby...

Glad to hear you are settling back to the life down under. Now you just have to get your old league going. Here we are glad to get Puppe in our league next season, so that someone can challenge Zinga for real now that you are there.

We are playing a bit more finnish style for the rest of the summer. The FISTF-league will start on September.

I guess I can't complain after a year off work

Well, as I always say, it's never useless to complain... No, really, I think your job is quite tiring because of the travelling. Hope you get in into the "normal" life as soon as possible. But it can take a couple of moans after a years vacation.

You, too! And remember that work is always secondary to Subu. And you should get in touch with your old players and play at least a little get together tournament. It's better to get the guys on board when you yourself are still aching to play.
