Hi Vesa!

Sorry to read your last comment about FISTF subbuteo in Finland. I hope that I will help to revive it  ;D

I have to disagree with you about your (possible)  choice to vote C.
Actually I am very angry with Burns, the only one who did it on purpose, voting C. The English association thought that C was just neutral vote.

Voting  C would just exclude the majority of players who have done nothing wrong. Actually I think that Horta asked the nations to vote, just to have an extra argument against PATFAP.
If you ask me, even asking foreigners to decide for your country (without knowing any details) is a mistake.

At thins point the new administration is based on ALL the teams, no leaders who exploit their power.
So this is a good thing. On the other hand, knowing Greek mentality, I know that in the future there is going to be at some point again fights etc, but at least UHTF has started the correct way.
I can tell you more details when I meet you.

Be prepared that if I stay for good in Finland (which is the plan at the moment) that we are going to have 2 events per year hahahahaha ;) I will help as much as I can to revive FISTF game.
As I said I will come by car and stay also in Denmark for the tournaments.
Is there a chance any Finn would come?
Stefano? Is he still in Helsinki? Is he going to be there next year as well?

Cheers
G.

I post this here as well because I sent an email but I did not get a reply, hopefully someone can read this  and reply because the deadline is until tomorrow :)

Hello guys!

I hope everything is fine.
I assume that you have received from FISTF the Ref: 18-2013 regarding the Greek (as always !!!) matter.
I would really appreciate (as well as the majority of the Greeks) if the Finnish association would vote for case "A"
in order to provide provisional recognition to the new Greek association (UHTF) which is an association in which all the
club-members are equal. This way we are going to organise a GP in July and greek players will be eligible to play in European tournaments
(including WC and CL/EL).

-----------------------
About me now. My wife flies to Helsinki in 20 days with the kids.
I will come by car (with a friend). We will leave from Athens end of July and we will pass by Odense and stay there for the tournament. Then we will
go to Stockholm and take the boat!!
So hopefully next year we will meet much more often! On a weekly basis! hahahaha

Does anyone plan on going to Odense? (3rd-4th of August)

Cheers,
G.

It seems that I will manage to be there with my teammates.
I was the last one to book a ticket.

Hi again guys, I hope everyone is ok and above all healthy!

Some news from me.
I now have a daughter  ;D :8) ::) :)
She was born 8th of February, so after 2 boys I will see how is it to have a girl in the family!

I check your forum from time to time (even though I do not understand anything!  ???)
and I see that you are going to have Helsinki open again on August!

WoW! This most probably means that I can make it! This would mean 5 times in a row!
You can also count on my help!
Hopefully more foreigners will come this time.

On a personal note, as you might know I plan on coming to live permanently in Finland because the situation is bad in Greece, also because I
want for my family to live in Finland (especially because of the finnish educational and welfare system)
Let's see if it will happen this year!
I will have parental leave because of the baby, so it is a good chance for me to look for jobs and for all of us to move there.

Cheers,
G.

Hello Stefano and all! (I post it here because Stefano asked about me  :))

An update about my situation/status.
Even though we were almost certain that we will move to Finland (because my wife would get a job offer)
finally she was not hired. I am 100% sure that the reason was her pregnancy.

Anyway our plans change slightly, hopefully for the best.
She is going to give birth in the beginning of February, and we are planning to move "north" in the summer.
The good thing is that I can have a paid leave for a few months. Also now we have the time to be more organised and search for jobs
as well as arrange things here in Greece (rent our flat etc).

About subbuteo, I think it is difficult for me to travel this year, but there is a small chance to go to Odense in the end o February.
My teammates also are interested about Amsterdam Stefano, so there is also a small chance to go there! It would be fun to meet you there!

In 3 weeks there is the champions league in Greece and many Italian teams will come, in case you do not know. But I do not know if your team (are you still playing for them?)
is coming.

Best wishes to all!

Giorgio  ;D ;D

Hello again!

At first thanks to everyone who offered to take me with him by car!!!

We decided to come with all the family on Friday from the north. We found also a cottage for Friday evening, but there is nothing free there at the moment
for Saturday. Although they said that they have last moment cancelations often.

What I'd like to ask is if there is going to be something going on on Saturday evening (as I read in the site) and how many are planning attend.
There is a possibility that we will have to leave Lappeenranta on Saturday night.

Cheers

I read that you are going to have a team competition. Are there other players without a team in order to have an extra team just for fun?

I'm into it, we  need just a player from Malta and then we have "Mediterranean All Stars"  ;D

Haha! Mediterranean yes! All Stars? I doubt!
We can be named Mediterranean All Poor  ;D

For example Vesa where are you coming from? If I am near Pielavesi and take a bus or if someone takes me to a place, would it be possible to do it?

My plans have been sorted, and I'm in fact going to Lappeenranta by car from Helsinki Saturday morning. So you get a lift from me, if you want. Same goes for Hönkki and someone else, if needed.

Good news! If I come by Helsinki count me in.
I think that this might be the most possible. There is still a small chance that I might go directly there from Nivala. I will know for sure in a few days!

Marko count me in. in both categories (open, veteran).

Also, should I stay there on Sunday?
I read that you are going to have a team competition. Are there other players without a team in order to have an extra team just for fun?
I'd like to know this,  as well as what the rest of people, who are coming from far, are planning to do about accomodation.
I show that there are some camping places which are quite cheap.

I still do not know which is the best way to come and when.
For example Vesa where are you coming from? If I am near Pielavesi and take a bus or if someone takes me to a place, would it be possible to do it?

Or is there a chance to go to Jyväskylä and then be picked up? (share the gas of course!)

When are you going to start in the morning on Saturday?
Is there a way to take a morning train from somewhere (i.e Helsinki) and still be there on time?

Hello guys again and thank you all 4 for the replies.

Vesa I live quite near Viitasari (Nivala 110km) and their summerhouse is actually very near (near Pielavesi).
Are you going to be there?

I still do not know where am I going to be the beginning of August. It is possible we might have to be in Helsinki searching for a flat, but most
probably I will still be in the north.
Tomorrow i will know more about our future, because she has a meeting with the boss  :D

Did the rest of you, who come from Helsinki, arrange where to stay? It would be nice to be all together.

PS
LainaaOh dear. Late nights ahead...
Haha, you can count on that!!! ;D ;D ;D

By the way if I come for good I have a top top subbuteo table (from your country Stefano!, Astrobase) we have it in my teams place because Papakonstantinou sold 5 to us, and I plan on sending it here.
Do you still have a meeting place in Helsinki?

Vesa, is the mobile number that you gave me last year still the same? I called you today but noone answered.

My email is georgy_papadopoulos@yahoo.co.uk

(I post it here as well, probably this is the correct topic  ;D)

Hi guys!

I'm coming to Finland tomorrow. I'll go north but I want to come to the GP.
Is there a way to be picked up from Helsinki?
If I come to Lappeenranta where can I stay?
Are you going to have veteran category as well? How many players are there in the categories?

On a personal note, it's very possible to move to Helsinki for good, my wife is expecting a job offer anytime and if it is good
then we will come!  :)

Cheers
G.
